All wool pocket nappies come with a microfibre insert.
The small insert is made up of two layers of microfibre that is folded into three to give six layers of absorbency. As little ones are changed more often only one insert is needed day or night.
Our medium/large inserts are a two layer long insert that snaps in half giving four layers of absorbency. Only one insert is required during the day, although some heavier wetters may need a booster. Another option is that you can use our fabulous bamboo inserts daytime/fulltime which is what I personally prefer with my two year old.
Our night-time inserts for medium and large are an amazing bamboo insert in a threefold - 99% of the time only one insert is required with the huge absorbency capabilities that bamboo offers. Even with this being a two layer trifold folded into thirds giving six layers, it is much less bulky because the bamboo is a thinner fabric than microfibre but has a higher absorbency level.
These trifold inserts measure 40 x 36cm and consist of 2 layers 400gsm bamboo fleece, overlocked together, fleecy side in.
Please note that bamboo shrinks 20% with the first wash which will bring the insert down to normal size. We recommend two hot washes before use so that the natural oils are stripped and the insert is ready for 100% absorbency.
Small
Boosters are great for the heavier wetter and also older children. These are only required in sizes medium and large nappies as our small insert is designed for the younger baby who wets more and is changed more.
